Which syncing protocols to use?

IMAP & POP3 are for incoming, SMTP works on the outgoing, and SSL/TLS adds a layer of security.  The best protocol for you depends on how you use email.  For most, the decision is between POP3 and IMAP.

  • IMAP if prefer to act on an email once
  • POP3 if use one primary device while checking from others

Strong Passcodes (Passwords)

PPemail suggests passcodes

  • be at least ten (10) characters,
  • incorporate letters, numbers, symbols,
  • arrange the string unpredictably, and
  • change occasionally.

Strong passcodes need not be complicated but should be uncertain to others.

Which top-level domain?

.net: ‘network’, more common & familiar.

.pro: ‘professional’ unique & distinguished.

.ca: for professionals associated with Canada.

All fit better than .com because most professionals do more than merely generate revenue.
